What You Might Be Wondering

Who/ What

We are a community of believers dedicated to serving God and neighbors in need. Although The Eyes of the Lord is a newly formal organization, our work began years ago in our own homes with a simple commitment to give. Our mission is to provide direct, hands-on support to those around us. While we aim to expand our reach as resources allow, our primary focus is Houston and surrounding counties. Guided by 1 Timothy 5:8'But if any provide not for his own... he hath denied the faith'—we prioritize our local 'household. Where large organizations provide broad aid, we offer personalized, intimate assistance designed to solve specific individual challenges.

Why

As of early 2026, several waves of federal budget cuts and policy changes have directly impacted Houston-area food programs. These cuts have occurred in stages over the last two years:

Budget cuts have drained critical funding from programs like Meals on Wheels, threatening the food security of hundreds of thousands Houston seniors.

While many Greater Houston communities remain stable, food insecurity in high-need pockets across the region and surrounding counties have surged to critical levels. These vulnerable areas face a staggering crisis, with a vast majority of households struggling to access nutritious meals at rates that far outpace regional averages.

For homebound seniors, people with disabilities, and families lacking transportation, traditional pantries are out of reach. Our delivery model removes these hurdles, ensuring no neighbor is left behind due to a lack of mobility.

How can I Support

Your support provides essential resources and direct care to those in our community. Your generosity delivers a vital lifeline to our most vulnerable neighbors.
